Apple Punch



Ingredients:
Apple ½ cup (peeled and grated)
Jaggery (gur) 2 tsp


Preparation:
1. Boil ¾ cup of water in a pan. Add it to the apples and jaggery .
2. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
3. Strain it to obtain the punch.
4. Serve luke warm.

Barley Water

Ingredient

Barley -1 tbl spoon
Jaggery -2 tbl spoon (grated)
Lemon Juice -1 tbl spoon


  1. Pressure cook 2 cups of water, barley and the jaggery.
  2. Cool and liquidse it in a blender.
  3. Strain and allow to cool completely.
  4. Add the lemon juice. Mix well and serve luke warm.

Note:

  • Barley -Protein rich cereal.
  • Jaggery -For flavour and rice source of iron.
  • lemon juice -Vitamin C, Protects from cold and cough.

Rice water

Ingredients:

2 tablespoon rice

1 cup water

pinch of salt

1. Wash the rice

2.Add rice in boiling water.

3. Once it is cooked completely.

4. Strain water, and add pinch of salt in this water.


Note: you can start with 3-4 spoons of rice water in first week., and can start giving rice mash once your littleone is able to digest rice water.


    Rice Mash

    Ingredients:

    2 tablespoon rice

    1 cup water

    1/2 teaspoon ghee

    1. Wash the rice.
    2. Cook them in boiling water.
    3. Strain excess water.
    4. Mash it completely, add ghee. Serve luke warm.

    Note: Once your little one is comfortable with rice mash, You can serve him rice mash mixed with dal water.

    Dal water
    Ingredients:
    Moong dal : 2 tablespoon
    Water :1/2 cup + 1/2 cup water
    Pressure cook dal in 1/2 cup water for 2 whistles.
    To the cooked dal ,add additional 1/2 cup of water.
    liquidise it in a blender.
    Strain the cooked dal and serve luke warm.
    Note: you can add more water if required.
